Summer Recap

Fall is fast approaching and summer has flown by fast so here's a little recap on our summer activities...

For Michael's Birthday I surprised him and took him to a MOTOCROSS RACE. There were competitors of all ages even down to a 4 year old!

Also for his birthday we went to SILVER CREEK FALLS which was a first for both of us and I could not believe how beautiful it was! The falls and the green trees are just what I love about Oregon.

One of my most favorite parts of the summer is relaxing and laying out at the POOL!

Easter

I know Easter has come and gone but I was just looking through my pictures so I'm posting about our sweet Easter!

With no kids yet it seemed silly to color Easter Eggs but man am I glad we did! Michael is such the little kid at heart and it was the best Easter Egg hunt I've ever experienced! I can't post the video but here are a few pictures!

a new TV!

so the story goes that we have these really fabulous friends who got a new TV and needed to get rid of their old one and instead of letting us buy if from them they just gave it to us! how sweet!!!

Well, as you can see it is quite large! Compared to our small home walking in the front door seeing a monstrous TV in a tiny corner was quite humorous and I found myself laughing every time I walked in the door. We desperately needed a TV stand and any excuse for me to go shopping is surely welcomed so the hunt was on! I was in search of a TV stand. I quickly discovered that TV stands were much more expensive then I realized and far outside of our budget so this was going to be a more difficult hunt then I anticipated. Michael and I went out one afternoon and and on our way from one store to the next Michael missed the turn off for the freeway putting us on a different path. On this path we came upon a Goodwill which just like the commercial with the GPS guy I quickly made him turn into the parking lot. Long story short we found a great stand for only $20 and with lots of rearranging here we are with our
$20 home makeover! :)

Now our beautiful painting of the temple truly has a place of it's own!

a Fabulous (quick) Trip

what can I say except that I'm the luckiest girl!
I have been blessed with such an amazing family and Michael and I had the pleasure of having a visit from Jane and Leah this week. Unfortunately Steve wasn't able to make the flight (they fly standby) but we were glad to have them for the visit.

Here are a few pictures from our trip...we spent a day at the coast and it was so beautiful! we watched waves crash and played on the sand! Michael found a starfish that was amazing! we went to the aquarium and of course ate at Moe's!

Despite the rain we still went to the tulip festival and enjoyed all the beautiful colors and a delicious elephant ear.

Until August when we get to see them again!

Circus Circus!

I've never been to the circus before so when coupons for buy 1 get 1 free came to our store and we both had work off, Michael and I thought it would make for a perfect date night! And it sure was, I love spending time with my husband!

There were elephants and tightrope walkers, clowns and bike riders and horses and acrobats
And our circus experience would not be complete without nachos, hotdogs, and COTTON CANDY!

Happy St Patty's day!

I had training for work in Portland and ALMOST had to work this night but thankfully to one of my most fabulous stylists stayed for the rest of the shift so I didn't have to go in and cover. This lead to a very throw together mean for our Traditional St. Patty's Day Green Dinner at the Cook house! Michael and I are staying with the kids this weekend while my parents are in Idaho. (lots going on huh?!) So here are a couple of pictures....
